I have all my basic equipment, I think. And it's been COLD
here so I'm testing out my cold weather gear. The Smokies could be cold and
snowy, even in early April when I get there.
I'm dehydrating fruit snacks, and packaging up freeze-dried
meals for Mary to send to me at post offices along the way. And I'm planning my
first day of hiking.
Not sure how long I can hike each day, I'll just have to see
how it goes and take it one day at a time. My goal is to finish before the snow
hits Mt. Katahdin (by mid-September).
If anyone has done the hike, I'd love to hear any last
minute tips you have to share.
Thanks, all...I'll be in touch every week.
